The diesel engine is the most important part of the genset.\u00a0Is the prime mover that drives the generator (alternator )\u00a0to produce electricity. All diesel engines are similar to each\u00a0other in the concept but they different in many \u00a0spects such\u00a0as the number of cylinders, if the cylinders are online or Vtype,\u00a0how the fuel is delivered to the cylinders,governing\u00a0system, cooling system, air charging system, air intake system.\u00a0All these details affect the \u00a0ecision of which engine\u00a0to use and which performance is expected.
